The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada from Monday 11am through Tuesday 6am.
Snow levels in the Sierra will range from 6000 through 9000 feet.
The total amount of snow will be three to six inches above 6500 feet. Half an inch to one inch of rain is expected in the Sierra below 6000 feet.
Expect winds from fifteen to twenty-five mph with some gusts up to thirty mph.
In the Motherlode, isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Monday afternoon and evening. Rainfall totals will range from a tenth of an inch to as much as a half inch.
