Sonora, WA — A major road rehabilitation project will be starting one week from Monday.
According to Tuolumne County Deputy Director of Engineering Gary Taylor approximately 12.5 miles of LaGrange Rd. (J59) from Hwy 108 to Hwy 132 (Stanislaus County line) will be rehabilitated.
Crews will grind or mill the top four inches off the roadway. That material will then be injected with a liquid and laid down as a base course. Following that the roadway will be resurfaced. This is considered a “green” project as no material will be discarded.
The overall project will take approximately six weeks to complete. The Monday through Friday operation schedule will run from 7am to 6pm with 20 minute traffic delays and one lane traffic control utilizing a pilot car to escort traffic through the construction site.
George Reed, Inc. will serve as the primary contractor.
