Sacramento, CA — A measure that would ban smoking at state parks simply lacks the signature of Governor Schwarzenegger.
The Californian Senate has voted 21-15 in favor of the ban, which had previously been approved by the Assembly.
Proponents say the bill would reduce litter, second hand smoke and the threat of wildfire.
Governor Schwarzenegger has not yet indicated whether he will sign the legislation. It also applies to state beaches.
