Sacramento, CA — Another “Furlough Friday” is coming up this week for thousands of state employees.
At the request of Governor Schwarzenegger, the District One Court of Appeals has put a hold on a previous court ruling that the found the furloughs to be illegal under state statutes.
The Governor had issued three-day-a-month furloughs for state employees that receive a majority of their funding from sources outside of the General Fund. The Associated Press reports that a hearing will take place next week to decide what to do regarding the following Furlough Friday.
