Sacramento, CA — A ballot measure that would create a system were all candidates for state office run in one primary regardless of their political affiliation has received a nice donation from Governor Schwarzenegger.
Schwarzenegger has been a proponent of the idea and the Sacramento Bee reports that he has transferred $500,000 over to the Yes on 14 campaign.
The Governor feels that passage of the measure should be one of the state’s top priorities. Under the proposal, the top two vote getters during the primary would be on the general election ballot, regardless if they are registered members of the same party.
