Sacramento, CA — A letter has been sent to Governor Schwarzenegger from members of his party asking for the suspension of AB 32, the global warming legislation.
13 Senators have signed the letter, as well as 26 Assembly members.
“Poll after poll show that the voters concerns are jobs and the economy,” says Senator Dave Cogdill. “There’s no guarantee that these policies (AB 32) will work, but there is a guarantee, as we are well aware, that we will lose jobs.”
Governor Schwarzenegger has indicated that he has no intention of repealing AB 32. California Republicans have been working to create a ballot initiative to go before voters that would suspend the legislation.
