Sonora, CA — Cleanup continues today across the Mother Lode from the winter storms that blasted the region.
Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services Coordinator Kathleen Rustrum says road crews are currently working hard to clean-up the Cedar Ridge area, and it should be clear by evening.
Cleanup in the Mi Wuk area, and on up the hill, is proving to be more difficult as multiple trees are entangled in power lines.
A warming station has been set up at the Mi Wuk Fire Station for anyone without power. It is located at 24247 Hwy 108. If you are in the Mi Wuk area and have a medical emergency or in need of oxygen, call 586-5256.
Rachelle Whiting with the Calaveras Office of Emergency Services based out of the Sheriff’s Department says that multiple trees fell onto roadways overnight. Downed power lines are still a major issue in the areas of Arnold and Dorrington. There have also been reports of trees falling into houses in the county.
PG&E says crews are working as quickly as possible to get everyone’s power restored. There is not an estimate for full restoration. If you have been without power for over 48 hours, you can call the PG&E special outage line is 1-888-743-4743 to talk with a live representative.
