Various events in Tuolumne and Calaveras have a lot to offer this Saturday.
Jamestown will host the Rods to Rails Car and Bike Show from 8am – 4pm. Main Street will be closed for the day to provide music, raffles, vendor booths, and carriage rides To Railtown. The event continues into Railtown’s Singing Rails Event, with singer Mary Mc Caslin at 5:00pm. Further details are in the event calendar here.
The Sonora Lions will host a 5K and 1 mile Run at Columbia College. The event starts at 8am for more info, call 536-4278. Proceeds benefit the Sonora High Wildcats Cross Country team and Lions sight programs.
Sonora 49er Rotary Interact Club and Sonora High School FFA joint Fundraiser BBQ is from 4-7pm at the High Country Sports Arena. For menu details and ticket price see the full event listing here.
Copperopolis Town Square is holding its 4th annual “Summerfest” from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will include live music. There will also be a slip-and-slide, water slides, and bouncy houses to cool off in the heat. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, for more information see the event listing.
It is the 3rd annual Vines and Hoses to benefit Murphys All Volunteer Firefighters. The event featurs a Luau style dinner, live and silent auction and live music. For more information click here.
There is also a fundraiser being held at Modesto’s Outback Steakhouse on West Briggsmore for CAL FIRE Firefighter Nathan Fyock. Fyock was severely injured when he was struck by a vehicle while engaged in firefighting efforts on the Penn Fire in Calaveras County last week. Also an account has been set up at El Dorado Savings Bank where donations can be made at any branch by mentioning “the Nathan Fyock Donation Account.”
