Caltrans Paving Delays
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) began work today on several areas.
On Highway 108 between Soulsbyville and Twain Harte there is one-way traffic control as they are grinding and paving and near Chicken Ranch Road there is also one-way traffic control for highway construction.
Highway 49 near downtown Sonora will have one-way traffic while paving HWY 49. The connector ramp will also be closed. Delays could be 20 minutes, the paving is expected to be finished by Friday, June 15th.
Draper Mine Road to North Sunshine Road will be restricted to one-way traffic for paving all the week, also from North Sunshine Road to West Twain Harte/Plainview Road and from there to the East Avenue Under-crossing.
Route 120 to Green Springs Road will have minor traffic delays for pavement marker replacement.
In Calaveras County, Highway 4 from Hunt Road and Pool Station Road is being excavated. For a map of the area there is a Google map here.
Motorists should expect delays, and take alternate routes whenever possible.
