Update: Sierra Nevada Winter Weather Advisory
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada above 3,000 feet, until 5 PM tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, additional snow accumulations will range from two to eight inches.
The heaviest snowfall is occurring this morning. The snow showers will gradually diminish through the afternoon.
Sunday should be a good travel day with dry weather expected. Winter weather returns Sunday night, though, with periods of mountain snow through much of the week.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
