Update: Spring Begins With A Winter Weather Advisory

Sponsored by:

Winter ends and Spring begins at 2:58 PM this afternoon.

The Winter Weather Advisory, currently in effect for the Sierra Nevada above 6,000 feet, will expire at 11 PM tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, four to eight inches of additional snow accumulation is expected above the 6,000 foot elevation.

Lighter snow shower activity will continue into early Thursday, with little additional accumulation.

A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
