Update: Wednesday Power Outages In Mother Lode
Update at 2:15 p.m.: Power outages are scattered across the Mother Lode today. Calaveras County is impacted with the most PG&E customers without electricity. The areas affected stretch from Mountain Ranch to West Point and involved nearly 1,900 customers.
In Tuolumne County, there are small power outages littered across the area from Sonora to Long Barn, which has 56 customers without lights. Another larger outage is in Twain Harte were a total of 94 customers are impacted. The Yankee Hill area has 12 customers waiting for their power to be restored.
It is unknown when there will be full restoration in these area as the utility reports crews continue to investigate to determine causes in both counties, but most of the outages do not yet have an estimated restoration time posted.
Original post at 6:15 a.m.: Sonora, CA — Many in the Mother Lode are waking up without power due to the heavy winds and rain overnight.
In the Mountain Ranch and Jesus Maria area of Calaveras County, there are over 1,000 customers without power. There are 441 PG&E customers without electricity in Arnold, 360 in Long Barn, 662 outside of Groveland and 70 in Sheep Ranch. It is unknown when there will be full restoration and PG&E continues to investigate the causes of the various outages.
