Update: Winter Weather Advisory In The Mountains
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada above 6,000 feet, that will conclude at 4 pm this afternoon.
Snow is occurring now in the Sierra, so plan on difficult travel conditions with chain controls across the higher elevations.
Additional snow accumulations of two to eight inches is expected.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
