Update: Sierra Nevada Winter Storm Warning

The Winter Storm Warning issued for the Sierra Nevada, will continue through 5 AM Saturday.

Eight inches to two feet of additional snow accumulation is expected above the 3,000 foot elevation.

The snow levels will continue to range mostly between 2,500 to 3,000 feet.

Improving weather is expected over the weekend.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means there will be snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Travel is not recommended while the Warning is in effect. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
