Update: Sierra Nevada Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada through 10 tonight.
Additional amounts of snow accumulations are estimated at 4 inches to a foot above 4,500 feet.
In the 11 a.m. hour myMotherLode.com Community News Partner Christine Ravely shared a photo of fresh snow sticking to the ground in Twain Harte (see image box). John Adema also submitted a photo of the snow in Arnold. News photos may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
