The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada above 7,000 feet through 11 AM this morning.
One to two inches of additional snow accumulation is likely.
Wind gusts up to fifty mph can cause poor visibility and difficulty driving.
Most of the impacts include wet and slick roads due to snow, snow covered roads and blowing snow with restricted visibility.
Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) is closed at Crane Flat. Highway 108 (Sonora Pass) is closed at Kennedy Meadows. Highway 4 (Ebbetts Pass) is closed after the Mt Reba turnoff. Highway 88 (Carson Pass) is open, however drivers should expect travel delays with possible chain and snow tire restrictions.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
