Update 8:25 a.m.: PG&E reports power has been restored to all 244 customers in the Copperopolis area. Nearly 180 of those customers went without lights for nearly 24 hours due to damaged equipment on a power pole. During the repairs, another 64 of those customers electricity went out just before 8 a.m. and was restored in about 15 minutes.
Update at 8:05 a.m.: PG &E just reported there is a new outage in that area affecting an additional 64 customers in the Olive Ranch road and Reeds Turnpike. The estimated repair time is 9 a.m.
Update at 7:15 a.m.: PG&E has pushed back the estimated repair time to 9 a.m. for 180 customers in the Copperopolis area on both sides of Highway 4.
Original Post at 6:36 a.m.: Copperopolis, CA — PG&E customers in the Copperopolis area have been without power overnight.
The company reports 180 residents on both sides of Highway 4, which include Hodson Road, Chuchkwagon Drive and Horseshoe Lane, have been without power since just before 10 a.m. on Monday. Crews found damaged equipment on a power pole and remain on-site working to restore power. There is no word on weather the recent stormy weather is to blame for the outage. PG&E estimates the repair time in the 7 o’clock hour this morning.
