Mid January Events

The January and February community events calendar is beginning to fill up.

Beginning tonight and for three days the High Country Friends of the Library are hosting the 11th Annual Gala, Silent Auction and Garage Sale at the Twain Harte Golf Clubhouse. More event details are here.

Friday afternoon join the Tuolumne County Garden Club Meeting at the Tuolumne County Library in Sonora. Pat Reh will speak on Winter Gardening and Garden Recycling. More detailed information is available by calling the contact in the event listing here.

Saturday evening, as explained by Ron Hamilton, 4-H Community Dinner Chairman, in the KVML Newsmaker story here, it is the 43rd and last 4-H Community Dinner and Cake Auction. All of the proceeds from the dinner support 4-H youth activities in Tuolumne County for the upcoming year.

Saturday morning join the Mother Lode Boy Scouts Troop 570 Pancake Breakfast
at Applebee’s.

Also Saturday morning the Master Gardeners of Tuolumne are Collecting Packing Material. Specifics were detailed in the story Master Gardeners Again Collect #6 Packaging Foam here.

At Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys the show “AnimalScapes of the Sierra Nevada Foothills” debuts. The show features over 50 works of art from artists in the three local counties and includes paintings, photography, ceramics and poetry, to celebrate the animals that live in the Gold Country. The artwork will be on display daily through February 15th.
