Stockton, CA — Caltrans-planned roadwork this coming week within a former Butte Fire evacuation zone is likely to generate major delays.
The work zone is along Highway 26 between Happy Valley and Lower Dorray roads, where slope repair planned each weekday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. is expected to generate delays of up to 20 minutes. Daily utility work will also set up on Highway 26 between Paloma Road and Montgomery Drive during those same hours but it is not expected to impact traffic.
Through mid-November, along Highway 12, round-the-clock highway improvements in the Valley Springs area continue between Pine Street and Cosgrove Creek. From Sunday evening through Friday morning, overnight grinding and paving between Pine Street and Lime Creek Road is expected to set motorists back at least ten minutes between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.; similar operations during the same days and times are scheduled on Highway 26 between Nove Way and Double Springs Road.
On Highway 49, core drilling between Columbia Way and Shaws Flat Road Monday through Thursday will be underway from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., the work focusing on the right shoulder, which should not cause any motorist delays. Too, take note that on Friday from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Caltrans will briefly shut down a lane of Highway 49 in San Andreas between California Street and Russells Road for a scheduled special event.
Each weekday on Highway 108 drainage cleaning work may cause brief delays between Helipo and Herring Creek roads from 8:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m
Slope repair operations along Highway 120 each weekday may generate five-minute delays between Pine Tree Point and Ferndale Road between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
