Sacramento, CA — Today Governor Jerry Brown announced his latest three appointments to the Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors.
Reappointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors is Kevin Day, 55, of Tuolumne, a registered Republican, who has served for 11 years now. Tribal chairman of the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council since 1996, Day previously served on the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority Governing Board and is a former a Sierra Conservation Center correctional officer. He is also a member of the Sierra Conservation Center Citizens Advisory Committee, U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs Advisory Board and the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce as well as the vice chair of the Central California Tribal Chairman’s Association.
Two Sonorans registered without party preference were also appointed to the board. They are Tom Miller, 64, a longtime owner and x-ray technician at Fremont Dental X-Ray who holds a specialist in education degree from the University of California, Berkeley Extension; and Maren Paris, 36, a volunteer master gardener for the University of California Cooperative Extension, Tuolumne County Master Gardeners, who is also a countywide gardening project leader at the Tuolumne County 4-H.
