Original Post 12:17 p.m.: Sonora, CA — There are some major traffic delays on Highway 108 at this noon hour between Jamestown and Oakdale.
The CHP reports that two big rigs were involved in an accident, and it has resulted in diesel spilling onto Highway 108, just west of J-59. The CHP reports that only a single lane is open, so officers are directing traffic. The cleanup is expected to last until at least 1:30pm. Traffic is backed up near the accident.
There is also a separate big rig accident on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, near the hairpin curve, which is causing some traffic delays. Use caution in the area.
