Debris Burn Spreads to Vegetation

Wilseyville, CA — Firefighters are heading to an escaped debris burn in Calaveras County, according to Cal Fire.

Cal Fire reports the flames are on the 400 block of Rabbit’s Foot Road between Highway 26 and Stanley Road west of Sandy Gulch in the Wilseyville area.  There is no word on size, rate of spread or whether on homes are threatened at this time.  We will bring you more information as soon as it comes into the News Center.

Update 3:06 p.m.: Cal Fire spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “Locals were able to contain the flames without firefighters help and it only spread to a small spot of vegetation.”
