Valley Springs, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a rollover accident on Highway 26 just over the Calaveras and San Joaquin county line.
The CHP reports a vehicle crashed on a curve, rolling over several times and landing on its roof. The vehicle is blocking the eastbound lane of Highway 26 near North Wimer Road in the Valley Springs area. An air ambulance has been called to the scene. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the News Center.
Update 8:50 a.m.: The CHP a person inside the vehicle had to be pulled from the vehicle and an ambulance landed at the scene, suffering serious injuries.
Update 9 a.m.: The CHP reports a tow truck is on scene working to clear the debris from the highway.
Update 9:13 a.m.: The CHP reports the victims injuries are major and the westbound lane of Highway 26 is closed a Wimer Road.
Update 9:35 p.m.: Highway 26 has reopened, according to the CHP.
