Motorists Face Highway Delays

Motorists can expect up to 10-minute delays on some Mother Lode highways next week.

In Tuolumne County, Caltrans crews will be working along Highway 108 and 120. Crack seal operations will be done on Highway 108 from Plainview Road to Hidden Acres Road.  The work will start on Monday, February 2 and end Friday, February 6, running from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Flaggers will also be conduction one-way traffic control along Highway 120, from Cherry Valley Road to Golden Arrow Road, while crews trim trees.  The work will begin at 7 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. from Monday, February 2 to Friday, February 6.

In Calaveras County, crews will be doing crack sealing along Highway 4 from Meko Drive to Beatrice Drive with one-way traffic control from Monday, February 2 to Friday, February 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Additionally, there will be roadwork along stretches of Highway 49. Caltrans reports utility work will be done on the highway from Gun Club Road to Park Avenue in Angels Camp on Wednesday, February 4 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Tree work will be conducted on two sections of the highway from Copello Drive to Angels Road and from Lombardi Drive to the Mokelumne River.  One-way traffic control will be in place for both areas from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Caltrans estimates motorists delays will be between 5 and 10 minutes in the various work areas.  Alternative routes are advised whenever possible, according to Caltrans.
