High Wind Warnings End 2014, Freeze Watches Begin 2015
A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Sierra Nevada through 10 AM on Wednesday. This will end as a Wind Advisory by noon on Wednesday.
Winds of thirty to fifty mph will continue, with gusts ranging from sixty-five to seventy-five mph.
Additionally, a Wind Advisory for the both the Mother Lode and the Central Valley remains in effect through noon on Wednesday.
Winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph will continue in the Mother Lode, with gusts up to forty mph.
In the Central Valley, winds of ten to twenty mph will continue with gusts ranging up to forty mph.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Freeze Watch for both the Mother Lode and the Central Valley from late Wednesday night (New Year’s Eve) through Friday morning.
Low temperatures will range from the upper teens to low thirties.
A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
