The Winter Weather Advisory that had been issued for the Sierra Nevada above 4000 feet, has been extended until 4 AM Thursday.
Snow showers will continue this afternoon and another wave of more widespread precipitation will move into the Sierra Nevada tonight into early Thursday morning.
This will bring an additional two to four inches of snow accumulation.
Winds of five to ten mph will continue.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will primarily cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
