Dorrington, CA – Just as it seemed PG&E crews were making headway on turning the lights back on for most of the Mother Lode customers that have been in the dark since late this morning, another area has lost power.
The lights went out for more than 500 customers in Dorrington around 6 p.m. PG&E reports a power line is down in the area and crews are on scene, working on repairs. There is not yet an estimated time for repair completion.
Scattered outages remain in the region. At one point, more than 1400 customers were without electricity in the Twain Harte, Sonora, Jamestown, Coulterville and Rancho Calaveras areas. Most of those customers lost their lights between 11 a.m. and noon today. Nearly 170 customers remain without power, due to downed power lines in the Apple Valley-Phoenix Lake, on Cedar Springs Road, east of North Tuolumne Road, and Coulterville areas. PG&E estimates the time of repair for those outages to be around 9 p.m.
Additional outages are expected with the storm system sweeping through the Mother Lode. To report an outage, or try to find information about a specific neighborhood, you can call 1-800-PGE-5000.
