First Weekend Of November Events

There are several Mother Lode events after Halloween this weekend. Here are a few of the Saturday events.

The ReHorse Rescue Ranch is hosting a Fall Open House. The meet and greet will feature treats to feed the horses, pictures, information about adoptions, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities. Admission is free, and donations are needed and appreciated. All the event calendar details are here.

Tuolumne County will host the last Master Gardeners Open Garden Day of the year. The theme is Winter Garden Preparation and fall and winter crafts will be available. The garden will be allowed to rest for the winter and reopen in February, 2015. The event listing is here.

A Boy Scout Trapshoot Fundraiser will be held at the Motherlode gun club. The event benefits Boy Scout Troop 500 and a chili lunch is included. There are cash prizes for 1st through 3rd place with more details on how to participate here.

The San Andreas Fall Fair at Turner Park will feature independent consultants, crafters, and collectables with a holiday gift theme. The San Andreas Fall Fair event listing is here.

Calaveras Gem & Mineral Society Tailgate Rock Swap & Sale is in Angels Camp. Rocks, specimens, jewelry, other gifts, lapidary and more will be available. View the Rock Swap event listing.

Bureau of Reclamation’s Ranger Hilary will host an Eagles and Osprey Kayaking Tour this Saturday.  Coyote Creek is the home for year-round raptors, the kayaks will launch from the Mark Twain Day Use Area. This event is a strenuous four to five hour paddling tour details are in the event listing.
