There are many Halloween related events occurring this weekend before Halloween which is next Friday.
The “Realms of Darkness” the 4-H Haunted House opens for eight evening performances. Evening performances are not recommended for young children. A special matinee for families and children is held during Sonora’s Trick or Treat Street. The Trick or Treat Street is hosted by the Downtown Sonora Merchants. Participating merchants will provide treats for children this Saturday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
The Doggy & Me Halloween Carnival at Tuolumne Veteran’s Memorial Hall will raise money for Tuolumne County Youth Centers and the local Humane Society. Details about the pet costume contest entry fee are here.
The 6th Annual All Hallows Fantasy Faire begins at Noon on Saturday. The event is held at the Sonora Fairgrounds both Saturday and Sunday starting at noon with overnight camping passes available as well. Hundreds of visiting creatures and characters from fairy tales and Hollywood movies will be featured. For more information view the All Hallows event listing here.
Indigeny’s 4th Annual Fall Festival is this Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. There will be a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, music, scarecrow contest, beautiful orchards, cider tastings and tours. The event listing has a map of the location here.
Bureau of Reclamation has announced their fall interpretive programs. This Saturday at 10am will be Creepy Crawlies of Natural Bridges. The Bureau invite the public to come out for a hike to discover some of the “scary” critters at New Melones Lake.

Dan Riordan, Executive Director, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day.” Stand Down for Homeless continues till 5 pm today and from 7 am to noon on Saturday.
