Cedar Ridge, CA — Firefighters are headed to vegetation fire in the Cedar Ridge area.
Cal Fire reports it is an escaped debris burn on the 23000 block of Kewin Mill Road by Forest Lake Road in Cedar Ridge west of Twain Harte. There is no word on size, rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.
Update 2:20 p.m.: Cal Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “It is approximately a couple of acres. No structures are threatened at this time. Williams adds that two engines are on the scene and more are headed to site.
Update 2:50 p.m.: Cal Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “The forward progress has been stopped. The fire is still active, but it is not getting any larger.”
Update: 3:15 p.m.: Cal Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “The fire is 1.6 acres and it is contained. Crews will remain on scene doing mop up for the next couple of hours. Williams says they still have not confirmed whether the fire is the result of an escaped debris burn.
