Sonora, CA – Caltrans crews have completed their work on Highway 108 and traffic is moving once again. Caltrans crews were supposed to be done paving before the afternoon commute began at 3 pm, but they did not finish the job until around 6:30 pm. Motorists faced 30 minute delays as flaggers directed one-way traffic control on the highway from Standard Road/Mono Way to Draper Mine Road.
Caltrans Spokesperson Chantel Miller says, “They only had a small section of paving and the final striping to do so they decided to finish the job tonight.”
Miller apologizes for the last minute notice to the public.
