Governor Davis has raised millions of dollars for his re-election campaign from sources outside of California. Davis has a fund-raising target of 50 million dollars to campaign for a second four-year term. It´s reported he has raised about seven-point-six million dollars from donors
The Los Angeles Times said in today´s editions that the donors to Davis have political or economic stakes in the Golden State.
Among the largest donors is CitiGroup Incorporated, donating at least 250-thousand dollars. The New York-based company has interests in California that range from insurance regulation to privacy rights.
