Robbers Impersonate Police

Two men posing as police officers have been robbing Latino men in San Jose.

Police say for the last two months the men have been driving up to their victims and identifying themselves as officers and showing an official-looking badge.

The suspects then accuse the victim of being involved in drug dealing and search him, take his wallet and tell him to walk home where they say they´ll be waiting for him. They then drive off with the wallet.

Similar robberies have been reported in Livermore and Mountain View.

One robber is described as a 30-year-old white man, six-feet tall and 180 pounds with blond hair and green eyes. The second robber is described as Latino or Middle Eastern, in his mid-30s, five-feet-six and wears glasses. Their car is described as a light-colored 1990s 4-door sedan.
