Jewish Defense League Chairman Suspected In L.A. Bomb Plot

Federal authorities have filed a complaint against Jewish Defense League Chairman Irv Rubin and a member of the extremist organization.

The complaint alleges Rubin and Earl Krugel had been involved in meetings, beginning in October, during which they planned bombings of Arab or Muslim buildings in Los Angeles.

The complaint quotes Krugel as making a comment during a meeting that Arabs “need a wakeup call”.

A news release issued by the U.S. attorney´s office says a source who provided information to the government was instructed to locate and photograph the office of the Muslim Public Affairs Council and to purchase bomb components.
