Officials from the Stanislaus National Forest is seeking public input concerning the removal of trees killed or damaged in the Darby Fire.
The Darby Fire consumed 14 thousand acres in early September along the Calaveras-Tuolumne County line. The project´s goal is to eventually restore the forest´s eco-systems to pre burn conditions.
The deadline for public input is December 31st, with a final decision expected in February. For more information, call the Calaveras Ranger District.
