A blood-splattered Los Angeles County man who allegedly dumped a woman´s body parts into the ocean in Ventura County was charged with murder Friday. Thirty-seven-year-old
Alfonso Castillo, of Panorama City, remained in custody in lieu of one million dollars. He´ll be arraigned Monday.
Castillo was taken into custody by Ventura County sheriff´s deputies about 1:30 a.m. Thursday after a deputy discovered him walking near Point Mugu where the body parts were discarded. The woman hasn´t been identified.
Two Coast Guard vessels and 30 people from the Sheriff´s Search and Rescue Team worked to recover the remains.
Blood also was reportedly found in Castillo´s Ford Ranger pick-up truck.
