Stockton Park Gets Funding For A Facelift
A deteriorating public park in Stockton has received the funds to bring the play area back to its original condition. Pixie Woods Park in Stockton was once a showcase park that featured a fantasy theme infused into a playground.
Built in 1954, the park was showing its wear, but 100 thousand dollars in state funding secured by State Assembly woman Barbara Matthews of Tracy combined with other funding will bring most of the downtown area park back to life.
When completed, the project will also bring the park´s facilities up to current state safety standards.
