Air Traffic Controller Turned Bank Robber Pleads Guilty
Rick Lee Davis the air traffic controller known as the Robust Robber, has plead guilty to six counts of bank robbery in an Oakland federal court.
Davis originally plead innocent but changed that plea today, leaving his fate in the hands of a federal judge.
Davis was arrested on August third after a spree of nine Bay Area bank robberies over a ten month period. Police say he made off with 40 thousand dollars.
He´ll be sentenced by the judge on February 15th. He faces a maximum sentence of 120 years in prison for the six robberies to which he pleaded guilty.
