No Apology from U-S over Spy Plane

The White House says President Bush doesn´t want to inflame tensions with China over a grounded U-S
spy plane, but spokesman Ari Fleischer says the administration sees no need to apologize. The plane and a Chinese jet collided, forcing the U-S crew to land.
Fleischer adds “it´s a very sensitive time.´´

China´s foreign minister says Beijing wants to resolve the standoff quickly, in a way that preserves China´s
dignity. China´s president is demanding a U-S apology.
