California Supreme Court Reviews Proposition 21

The California Supreme Court has agreed to review the consitutionality of Proposition 21, the voter
intitiative allowing prosecutors to charge juveniles as adults without a judge´s ruling.

The decision to review it comes two months after a San Diego
appeals court said the law violated the US Constitution´s separation of powers doctrine. It found the law takes power from the judicial branch and gives it to
county prosecutors-members of the executive branch.
