Firefighters from the Calaveras Ranger District of the Stanislaus Forest and Sierra Pacific Industries crews
will be performing a prescribed burn beginning Monday between Love Creek and the North Fork of the Stanislaus River.
Officials say the 23 hundred
plus acre burn will take about 5 to 7 days to complete with residual smoke visible for the next week or two. The burn is being done to thin out fuels that can
easily catch fire for the upcoming fire season.
