Wildfire Near Truckee Still Out of Control

Flames continue to rage in the rugged woods east of Truckee this morning — but people evacuated from
their homes have been allowed to return.

Fire officials say the blaze near the tiny Sierra Nevada community of Floriston devoured 15-thousand acres
by midnight.

The fire closed the transcontinental rail line through the Truckee River Canyon. It´s still burning out of control and officials say they don´t
know for certain when it will be contained.
