Control Burn Near Groveland Today

U.S. Forest Service fire crews will ignite a 200 acre prescribed burn today in the Groveland ranger district of the Stanislaus National Forest.

Pat Kaunert with the forest service says the burn is about 18 miles east of Groveland and is part of a total 760 acre treatment of the area.

The controled fire is in preparation to a forest tree replanting project.
