Four deaths have been related to California’s stormy conditions throughout the weekend. In addition storm-related power outages affected more than one-and-one-half million California electricity customers.
Swept into the Pacific by large waves were a four-year-old boy near Eureka and a 26-year-old man at Santa Cruz. Two people died when a falling tree crushed their vehicle on US 50 in the Sierra. High surf advisories continue today along the Northern and Central California coasts southward to western Santa Barbara County.
