Several thousand demonstrators held a march and rally in San Francisco to protest against a potential United States war against Iraq. The marching demonstration yesterday stretched about one mile through the financial district to the rally at City Hall. Signs held be some of the protesters included “Money for jobs, not for war” and “No blood for oil.”
More than a dozen buses of marcher participants in San Francisco came from Los Angeles, while others converged from Arizona, Oregon and Washington state. Other anti-war demonstrations against invading Iraq were held in Washington D-C, Europe, Japan and Mexico.
