With 17 days remaining until the election, Governor Gray Davis and his Republican challenger Bill Simon campaigned in the Los Angeles area Saturday.
Simon spoke to dozens of Asian-American leaders and supporters in La Puente. He pledged that if elected he would run a diverse administration. He also promised a friendly environment for small business and a desire to increase trade with Pacific Rim countries. Simon also was meeting Republican supporters in San Luis Obispo today.
Davis was to appear later in the day with fellow Democratic candidates at a labor get-out-the-vote rally in Gardena. Davis also has two appearances planned tomorrow with farmworkers in Oxnard and Coachella.
