Debate Is Rehash Of Past Attacks

California’s top two candidates for governor have traded jabs in their first debate in Los Angeles heard Monday afternoon on AM 1450 KVML and MyMotherLode.com.

The men used the hour-long lunchtime debate to echo attacks they’ve made for months.

Republican Bill Simon blamed incumbent Democratic Governor Davis for the state’s economic woes. Davis questioned Simon’s stances on social issues, his business record and inexperience in political office.
