Seventy upscale homes in the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California have been evacuated. They’re being threatened by an eight-thousand-acre wildfire raging in the Angeles National Forest. Forty-four cabins and vacation homes have already been destroyed. In all, 500 homes have been evacuated since the blaze broke out Sunday. Los Angeles officials say the fire is only ten percent contained. About 1,200 federal, state and local firefighters are on the lines. Flames can be seen from downtown Los Angeles.
