The father of one of the three California tourists who were killed by Cary Stayner three years ago says he´s relieved that a jury has found Stayner was sane at the time. Yesterday´s decision means the jury in San Jose will now decide whether to sentence Stayner to death for the killings of a woman and two girls near Yosemite National Park. Pepe Pelosso, the father of one of the two teenage girls who died, says he had no doubt that Stayner was sane, because of the cold way in which he confessed. Prosecutors said Stayner´s methodical and elaborate efforts to cover his tracks prove he was sane when he killed the tourists. Stayner is already serving a life term for killing a naturalist in Yosemite National Park a few months after the other killings.
