One more day of arguments about whether Yosemite killer Cary Stayner is insane. The motel handyman killed three tourists visiting the national park in 1999, and now his lawyer is trying to persuade the jury that he was crazy at the time. She says he was psychotic, robotic and unable to understand his actions and their consequences. Prosecutors present their closing argument today, and the defense offers a rebuttal. Then the jury in San Jose begins deliberations. If the jury decides Stayner was insane when he committed the murders, he´ll be sentenced to life in prison. If they decide he was sane, they must then decide if he goes to death row, or spends his life in prison. He´s already serving a life term for killing a nature guide in the park.
